April Meeting

Sacred Heart CWL April meeting is scheduled to be in-person and has been moved to the second Thursday, April 08 at 8:00 pm following 7:00 p.m. Mass and recitation of the Rosary. We invite all ladies to attend and learn what’s happening in our League for 2021!

Caring for Our Common Home

The National CWL Theme, Caring for Our Common Home.  Through the generosity of our parish, we were able to collect 450 dollars, which was translated into gift cards for Tim Horton’s and MacDonald’s.  These gift cards were given to the Homeless Program, Out of the Cold in Goderich, to ensure the Homeless were not forgotten at Christmas.”

Virtual Chat North Regional Councils

Fantastic news!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 13, 2021 – 10am – noon. The Diocesan CWL Executive has decided to have a virtual chat with their North Regional Councils.  This will not be a regional meeting and, as such, will not require reports. This will be an information sharing gathering so that we will be able to stay informed and connected.  A Zoom link was sent to your email.

CWL Lenten Retreat

Sacred Heart Teeswater CWL is hosting a Lenten Retreat featuring guest speaker, Mrs.Teresa Hartnett, Director of Family Ministry for the Diocese of Hamilton. Ladies will come together virtually Saturday, March 20 starting at 10am with a 1 hour presentation, followed by discussion.  You can join by phone or internet from the safety of your own homes. The zoom link was emailed to our members and hope all can join in for a special Lenten social time. Contact our President, Jean Culliton for more information.

World Day of Prayer (WDP)

“World Day of Prayer (WDP) has been happening in Canada for almost 100 years!  The 2021 service was written by the WDP committee of Vanuatu inspired by the Biblical theme “Build on a Strong Foundation” (Matthew 7; 24-27).

This free one-hour recording features participants from across Canada.   It was produced by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada to help keep people safe during COVID-19 restrictions and will be available on the WICC website until September 30th.

Donations received for services not only support the World Day of Prayer movement but provide generous grants that support social justice projects in Canada and the world.
